Solutions for "The Age of Urgency"

We are operating in what is referred to as “The Age of Urgency.” Companies have to move faster than ever before to keep up with the pace of change.

Automation, digitalization, artificial intelligence, and globalization will only continue to accelerate. To compete, companies need to unleash their strategy, their structure, their workflows, the tools they use, and their people.

Elexess helps teams move faster and smarter by solving the problems of team coordination, availability of information, and interconnectedness of knowledge while leveraging the strength of globally distributed workforces.

Creating value and clarity through connecting knowledge and leveraging the strength of a globally distributed workforce.

Early adopters and evangelists of ERPNext

We believe ERPNext can transform your company because it has truly transformed ours.

We started Elexess to share our hard-won expertise in ERPNext with others looking to transform their companies, with a focus on European-based customers, especially those in the German-speaking world.

Our journey with ERPNext began in 2015. We were looking for a new ERP system for ESO Electronic, an electronics manufacturing company located in Hahnenbach, Germany, specialized in printed circuit board assembly. The ERP system had to be robust enough to accommodate the business workflows and highly complex production processes we already had – while also being flexible enough to host the new ones we were planning for.

After reviewing more than 50 different ERP systems, CEO Dominik Ottenbreit decided that ERPNext was the only one that ticked all the boxes. ERPNext was the only solution that would be able to take his company from a traditional brick-and-mortar electronics factory to the advanced manufacturing center with fully integrated online functionalities he was envisioning.

With that, we flew to India and met the team behind ERPNext/Frappe. Building on the incredible platform designed by the team at Frappe and visionary founder Rushabh Mehta, we built a team to adapt ERPNext to our needs, and in 2018, we transitioned from Microsoft Navision to ERPNext. The software ecosystem has since transformed the company, and ESO Electronic/Newmatik PCBA is now considered to be running one of the most advanced ERPNext implementations in Europe.

Championing Asana

Great productivity tools can truly transform your workplace. Productivity tools empower you to do your work more quickly, efficiently, and reliably. Over the years of successfully leading software implementations, we've seen firsthand how companies flourish when they put the right productivity tools in place. We share our experience with our customers to help them to start improving their companies right away.

Most companies, no matter what they make, follow the same basic processes: make a quotation, process an order, prepare for production, produce, and deliver. This is deceptively simple, though, because in reality, each step probably entails dozens of subtasks – all of which need to be planned and organized before they can be performed.

We started using Asana in 2012 to coordinate teamwork for the massive workload at our electronics manufacturing company. In our business, each quotation and order includes dozens of administrative and engineering tasks for each of the some 2000 different products we produce each year. As the company grew, the multiple steps and high complexity was just becoming impossible to coordinate without a better software system.

This was when we discovered Asana, which allowed us to create projects, assign individuals to tasks, set due dates, and monitor progress. With Asana's clean overview, we could see at a glance what still needed to be done, leave important notes for coworkers on tasks still to be completed, and watch the project come together in real time. We can track complicated analytics with the click of a button. Asana has not only transformed the way we work, but the way we work together.

Our Asana implementation was so successful at our brick and mortar company that it allowed us to add a remote team to help at every step of the pre-production process, including quotations, order processing, purchasing, and project engineering.

With Asana, the many tasks of our business are coordinated seamlessly across time zones and geographical locations to get things done on spec, and on time.

If we're really honest about it, we don't remember how we managed to get our work done before Asana – and that's why we're certain it will be that transformative for you, too.
